I'm going to reduce the size of this index page and put most of the technical information at the TechnicalIndex.

I have a number of subdomains that I use for various (nefarious) purposes:

4. webmail.pachogrande.com hosts my webmail.

I use PGP/GPG for email security and signing. My primary PGP key is 0x30B2F8C1. Please use PGP when communicating with me through email if possible. Why use PGP?

Personal

My name is Mike Carr. I live in Prince George, BC, Canada. I have the debateable pleasure of living less than 10 km from where I was born, and within 7 km of every school I've ever attended. You can see this within Google Earth for those skeptical of my claim (or geekishness).

I'm a big fan of the English language and have a page on PoetryILike. My reading these days tends to the Fantasy / Sci-Fi - anything Asimov, Anthony, Jordan, Brooks, etc.

Toastmasters

I'm an active Toastmaster, the Vice President of Education for Prince George Toastmasters #3081, and the Vice President of Public Relations for the same. I'm a strong believer in the Toastmasters philosophy and am always willing to take a guest along if you're interested! I have completed my Competent Communicator and Competent Leader designations... woot! I have revised my 2008/2009 Toastmasters goals as follows:

1. Achieve AC-B status by June 30, 2009
2. Achieve AL-B status by June 30, 2009
3. Organize and host the Spring Area 41 conference as a method of leading by example
4. Become elected Area 41 Governor starting July 1, 2009
5. Organize and host a minimum of one educational session for Toastmasters each month within Club 3081
6. Give at least one 50 person demonstration talk about Toastmasters in the 2008/2009 year.
7. Achieve President's Distinguished Club status for Club 3081

Work

As of June 11th 2008, I'm a project coordinator for Spruce Capital Homes. It's a strange feeling to be working in the company where my dad worked 20 years previously.
